“Glaciers en Suisse” (1910) by photographer Henri Chouanard (1883-1936). They used to look like that. Here’s a comparison of Swiss glaciers in 1850 to 2002. I think the particular one pictured is this one. Here’s a troubling article about it’s losing battle with climate change. And that’s from 2006, I can’t imagine how bad it is now (how little, if any of it remains) via laurenjena
